Ma Classe French Learning

Kids’ French School is a private French language school operated by the instructors of Ma Classe French Learning. Before the pandemic, we used to operate our programs from two locations in the High Park area and South Etobicoke. We have provided numerous academic or recreational programs for children and adults, helping hundreds of students achieve their goals. We are experts in French as a Second Language instruction, with extensive experience teaching students in TDSB and TCDSB schools.

You can learn more about us and our history here.

Our brand-new addition this year is a fully licensed French preschool program with full-day (6 hours) and half-day (3 hours) options.

Kids’ French School will continue to offer the same quality French programming for school age children as part of our after-school program and summer camps with bilingual or immersive programs. Moreover, our online tutoring program (started during the Covid-19 pandemic) will remain available via our online platform at maclasseonline.ca.

Our bilingual French school in the Junction

Newly renovated space for our bilingual French preschool in the Junction - Toronto
Newly renovated space for our bilingual French preschool in the Junction – Toronto

Our school will occupy the ground floor of the newly renovated Macaroni Factory Building at 2738 Dundas St W, in the eastern part of the Junction (also known to locals as the West Bend).

This spacious, light-filled building boasts a unique character with its apparent original features such as interior wood columns and beams. Truly, we are confident both children and staff will thrive in this fully functional and welcoming space. We will be sharing the building with AKA Media, well-established tenants on the second floor.

Bilingual French preschool

Our licensed preschool program will cater for students aged 30 months to 4 years. Our goal is to provide an all-encompassing, language-rich curriculum in a stimulating, safe environment for all children to grow and learn in French. In other words, this is the perfect opportunity for future JK students to prepare for Early French Immersion, or simply secure in their early years the long-lasting benefits of a first exposure to the French language.

A Junior Kindergarten program is also in the plans for next year.

Our admissions are now open, and we look forward to answering your questions and welcoming you to our new location in The Junction.

After-school program

Our recreational after-school program will give students a chance to learn and practice new skills while extending their exposure to French.

It will feature specialty programs or recreational activities conducted either in French or both languages, including:

  • A homework Club
  • Drama
  • Visual arts (drawing, painting, salt dough art, calligraphy)
  • Baking classes
  • Board games groups

Our after-school program is scheduled to start the second week of September 2024 at our new bilingual French school.

French summer camps

Geared towards school age children (ages 5-12), our summer camps will feature:

  • The same exciting art-based activities and workshops offered at our previous location, but with improved, more ambitious art projects and workshops;
  • Short, engaging classes covering all aspects of the language (reading, writing, speaking and listening), with a focus on oral conversation skills and vocabulary.

Exposure to French is guaranteed all day longs, with a bilingual or fully francophone approach, depending on your child’s level (Beginner / Core French or French Immersion / francophone).

Getting our bilingual French school ready for the fall

We are currently renovating the space while securing all approvals as part of the ongoing licensing process. Our priority is to have one large, welcoming and fully operational classroom as well as a generously sized after-school area ready by early September.

We are also in the process of recruiting a highly qualified, friendly French-speaking staff.

You can follow our progress here or on our new dedicated Facebook page.
