In 2024-25, our preschool programs are available in half-day or full-day formats. Half-day programs run daily from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. As per provincial requirements, full-day programs last slightly less than 6 hours.

In order to facilitate the registration process, we invite all interested parents to connect with us to secure a spot for their child. Alternatively, you can fill out the form by clicking on the button below.

We are currently in the process of being licensed by the Province. However, our space will be fully ready and open for tours by late September. Follow us on Facebook to keep in the loop!

Ensuring your child’s wellbeing

At Kids’ French School, we are committed to providing every child with exceptional care and a safe, enriching environment. Our dedicated team of professionals are passionate about nurturing, educating, and ensuring your child’s wellbeing.

How Does Learning Happen?

As a licensed preschool, we fully adhere to the guidelines, goals and expectations set out in the provincial learning resource: How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years. We acknowledge and value children’s health and overall wellbeing, their sense of belonging and their role as capable, curious and active learners.

A flexible, language-rich curriculum

We embrace the principles of an open, flexible curriculum, also known as “Emergent Curriculum”. As further defined in the official learning resource, the Emergent Curriculum in the early years aims to foster the “development of strategies, dispositions and skills for lifelong learning through play and inquiry”, rather than focusing on covering a predetermined set of topics. Furthermore, it is responsive to children’s individual interests and progress.

In this perspective, our curriculum will engage children through a variety of experiences, explorations, events, and activities. Fundamentally, it will tap into the children’s natural curiosity to open new perspectives and build knowledge; increase their self-confidence and their overall awareness to others and the world around them.

Finally, we guarantee a consistent, rich exposure to the French language in a variety of contexts and situations, throughout the day. Indeed, our goal is to provide each child with an opportunity to grow and thrive in a stimulating environment – while gaining basic yet effective second language skills in the process. Our reward is to observe children interact naturally and ‘function’ in French after
